Dr. Jennifer Thompson chairs the Science and Research Committee for Courthouse Dogs® Foundation and serves as Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Her research in epidemiology and behavioral health focuses on trauma-informed responses in justice and law enforcement organizations, and she has presented at the IACP Officer Safety and Wellness Conference. Dr. Thompson brings a research-driven perspective to the science behind facility dog programs and their impact on victims, handlers, and justice professionals. At the conference, she leads a session on the Science & Research behind facility dog work.
