Jesse is an 18-year veteran of the Vancouver Police Department. He served as the handler of retired Police Service Dog Jade and as a trainer with the VPD Canine Unit. Having survived multiple police-involved shootings, including one in which Jade saved his life, Jesse shares firsthand insight into the critical role a well-trained police dog can play in helping ensure officers return home safely at the end of every shift.
